Pedro Sanchez-Cervera is an architect and performance designer based in Yorkshire. He graduated with an MA in Performance Design from the University of Leeds. He also studied a Master in Architecture from the University of Seville in 2014.

Pedro’s recent projects include art installation My Life with the Wave, and the play This Land, The Story of Woody Guthrie, both directed by Steven Byrne at Interplay Theatre. Pedro also works as an assistant and draughtsperson for opera designers Charles Edwards and Madeleine Boyd. Some of these productions include La Calisto (Teatro La Scala, Milan), Don Carlos (Metropolitan Opera, New York), Norma (Teatro Real, Madrid), A Little Night Music (Leeds Playhouse), Alcina (Saarbrücken Theatre, Germany), Otello (Grange Park Opera), Fedora (Metropolitan Opera, New York).

Pedro has always been interested in the possibility of imagining and creating new spaces and environments to be experienced. His education in architecture provided him a heightened understanding of space and materials, and keeps inspiring and informing his creative process as a Set Designer.
